Some more of my many portrait pieces, using inspiration from my everyday life.
Thief - this was based on a person that i saw who was wearing too hats on top of each other, it made me chuckle, and by giving it the name of thief it starts to build up its own narrative which is what i like in my work. i still need to decide what font to use for the word thief but i'm happy with how it is at the moment so heres a picture so far.
Eager- In the lovely hot summer weather we have been having here on the Isle of Wight, i decided to go to the beach today. Whilst there i saw a women lathering layers and layers of suncream on her child, she was getting rather carried away. After about 5 layers she stopped, This inspired my for this portrait as if i saw the child after this is what i would have thought happened to her.. that she got a bit over excited with the sun cream.
